Today, I want to share a handmade anniversary card. I don’t make too many wedding or anniversary cards, but they are definitely one of my favorites. Sometimes back, my friend asked me to make a card for his wife for their anniversary. After some brainstorming, we came up with a very sweet message.

Since the wife is the one “holding the key” I made the card with a heart and a lock and I wanted to give it a feminine feel. I didn’t have any stamps or dies for a lock, so I had to improvise a little. I sketched the shape with a fine tip sharpie on some handmade paper and after fussy cutting it, I put some crackle accents and a few small rhinestones in pink.

Other parts of the card were made with shimmer cardstock. It’s been a while since my obsession with it started and it cannot stop. The shimmer cardstock is something that every crafter should have in stash. It doesn’t need much of other embellishments, and it makes it easy to create elegant cards. Don’t you just love the beautiful shine?

It warms my heart when the recipients and givers enjoy my cards.
